Starting from the inside, the 2021 Gladiator is far superior to the 2021 Tacoma. While the Tacoma only has four fewer cubic feet of passenger volume than the Gladiator, the Gladiator’s wide wheelbase gives back-seat passengers more legroom. The Gladiator can also come with a diesel 3.0-liter V6. It makes 260 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque.
When properly equipped, the 2021 Gladiator tows up to 7,650 pounds and hauls up to 1,700 pounds, more than the Tacoma pickup’s rating in each category.
